on the path to excellence
Our celebration of Indonesian Independence Day last week was most impressive. As we entered campus first thing on Friday morning we were met by the beautiful sounds of the gamelan. Wonderful Indonesian foods were prepared and shared. The flag raising ceremony was full of integrity, while Molly and Maggie were greatly appreciated as MCs. The all school assembly at the end of the day in the MPR took my breath away. Amazing performances by students, parents, and teachers alike brought warm and delighted smiles to everyone in attendance. Bravo!
We wish to extend a very warm welcome to our new families and a special welcome back to our returning families. We are excited to start a fresh new year with the addition of 11 new dynamic teachers and a new Head of School, Mr Brian Kissman. Keep an eye out for a splash of colour in our Primary Classes including a new colour scheme and furniture in the Grades 3-5 classes as well as other upgrades across the Secondary buildings.
It's not too late... BIS is accepting applications for students. Positions are available at most grade levels. BIS is the only International Baccalaureate (IB) school in Bali to offer all three programmes (PYP, MYP and DP). We invite you to visit our school and discuss your child’s future.
Well done to all 37 of our Graduates - the Class of 2013! The beautiful ceremony was held on the covered court at the BIS campus, followed by a dinner for the students, parents and teachers at Komune in Keramas. Many thanks to all the people behind the scenes in getting this event together. The ceremony was filled with smiles as the students shared a few of their anecdotes and we were fortunate to have Mr Carl Massey, author and Happiness guru, address the Graduands. The musical items truly let the talent of our students shine through! Congratulations to you all!
